Located on the Lucknow-Varanasi highway, the Indira Gandhi Memorial Botanical Garden was established in 1986. Spread across 57 hectares, the garden is situated on the northern bank of the Sai River. The memorial is not just about plants, flowers and landscaped gardens – it also serves as an educational institute for research scholars, scientists and those who wish to learn more about the plant life.

The botanical garden is home to several medicinal plants and decorative plants. There is also an onsite rock garden, rose garden, seasonal garden and an aquatic garden, besides a greenhouse.
