Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary, located at a distance of 65 km from Udaipur on the Udaipur-Pali-Jodhpur Road and houses the fort of Kumbhalgarh. The sanctuary, which is spread over an area of 578 sq km, has derived its name from this fort and covers parts of Rajsamand, Udaipur, and Pali districts.

It is the only sanctuary in Rajasthan where wolves can be found. Other wild animals that are found here include hyenas, jackals, leopards, sloth bears, jungle cats, sambars, nilgais, chausinghas (four horned antelopes), chinkaras, and hares.

During the summer season, visitors can often see a pack of wolves near the water source. This sanctuary is a good place for birdwatchers, as well, as they can see a number of birds including grey jungle fowls which live here. A large number of other birds like doves, peacocks, red spur owls, parakeets, golden orioles, bulbuls, doves, grey pigeons, and white breasted kingfishers can be found near the water holes.
